Liquor Licensing Compliance: Frequently Asked Questions

-   Can you buy a current liquor license ? -  Yes but it would be more beneficial to carry on trading on the same premise where it is licensed.

-   How Long does a liquor license application take ? - Nothing shorter than 4 months from date of submission due to various departments         required to provide report on the applicant, premise and nominated manager.

-   After applying for a license when can i start trading ? - Once approved, activation fee has been paid and official license issued.

-   If i get charged by authorities for contravening the Act, who can represent my case ? - We can assist in preparing and submitting a                replication.

-  If i home manufacture alcohol do i need a license ? - For alcohol containing more than 2% alcohol requires a license, licenses are only         granted with municipal approved zoning scheme.

-  What documents do i require to apply for a license ? - Most important, Lease or ownership of approved municipal zoned premise,                  Consent use from the land lord if renting, ID, or company registration, Resolution & avadavats to be drawn up by consultant for, Applicant     / members / directors and nominated mangers,      Short CV of the above mentioned individuals, Proof of residential address, Municipal          approved floor and site plan. Should there be additional requirements the consultant will inform you thereof.
